Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 22, 2026

AppApp ("we," "us," or "our") is a product of Cloud 9 Global Inc., a Florida C-Corporation. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our AI-powered resume optimization service at appapp.imran.com and appapp.cloud (collectively, the "Service").

1. Our Core Privacy Principle: Zero Data Storage

AppApp is built on a privacy-first architecture. We made a deliberate engineering decision to not store your personal career data on our servers.

  • Resume text you paste into the optimizer is sent to our AI processing engine, used to generate your optimized output, and immediately discarded. It is not saved in any database, log file, or cache.
  • Job descriptions you paste are processed the same way — used once and discarded.
  • AI-generated outputs (optimized resumes, cover letters, interview prep) are returned to your browser and not retained on our servers.
  • We do not accept file uploads. The copy-paste design is intentional: your resume file never leaves your device.

This means if you start a new session, you'll need to paste your resume again. This is a feature, not a limitation — your sensitive career data is never at risk on our servers.

2. Information We Do Collect

2.1 Account Information

If you create an account or purchase a subscription, we collect your email address for authentication, license key delivery, and transactional communications. Email addresses are stored securely and never sold to third parties.

2.2 Payment Information

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never see, handle, or store your credit card number, CVV, or full billing details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy.

2.3 Usage Data

We track basic, anonymized usage counts (e.g., number of optimizations per day) to enforce free-tier limits and monitor service health. This data is not linked to your resume content.

2.4 Contact Form Submissions

If you use our contact form, the information you provide (email, subject, message) is sent via Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) for email delivery and retained only for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.

3. Google AdSense and Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our Service. Google AdSense is a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC.

3.1 DART Cookies

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

3.2 Third-Party Ad Technologies

Third-party ad servers or ad networks may use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons in their advertisements and links that appear on AppApp. These are sent directly to your browser, and they automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and to personalize the advertising content you see.

AppApp has no access to or control over cookies that are used by third-party advertisers. We recommend consulting the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more information on their practices.

3.3 Opting Out of Personalized Advertising

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting:

4. Cookies We Use

AppApp uses a minimal number of cookies:

  • Session cookies: To maintain your login state and tier information during a browsing session.
  • Cookie consent: To remember your cookie preference so we don't ask repeatedly.
  • Google AdSense cookies: As described in Section 3 above, for serving and personalizing advertisements.

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or marketing pixels beyond what is required for AdSense.

5. AI Processing and Third-Party APIs

When you use the optimizer, your pasted resume and job description text are sent to Google's Gemini API for AI processing. This data is transmitted securely via HTTPS and is subject to Google's AI data usage policies. We do not send any personally identifying information (name, email, phone) to the AI — only the career text you paste.

Google's API terms state that data sent through the Gemini API is not used to train Google's models when accessed through paid API tiers.

6. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal data we collect about you (see Section 2).
  • Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal data. We do not sell personal data.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@appapp.cloud.

7. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland:

  • Legal basis: We process account data based on contractual necessity (providing the Service) and legitimate interest (service improvement). Advertising cookies are processed based on your consent via our cookie banner.
  • Data minimization: We collect only what is necessary. Resume content is not stored.
  • Right to access, rectify, and erase: Contact us to exercise these rights regarding your account data.
  • Data transfers: Our servers are located in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of data to the US.

8. Children's Privacy

AppApp is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Security

We employ industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, restricted API keys locked to our server's IP address, and secure credential management. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
